InterX is a medical device used for interactive neurostimulation by using electric stimulation to ease acute and chronic pain.
InterX differs from other types of electro stimulation because it has a pulse, two-phase, sinusoidal damped waveform that changes depending on the electrical properties of the skin–through impedance. It is known that, due to the activity of the sympathetic nerve, the impedance of the skin and the hypodermis decreases at the site of pain. InterX finds those spots and then provides targeted stimulation with high-density and high amplitude electricity. Cutaneous stimulation does not cause muscle contractions and InterX can safely be used over metal implants.
